My Write-Ins:

Firefly
The best show nobody watched. It was unfortunate that Firefly premiered during a time when reality shows like Survivor were red hot. I think if it had showed up around the time of the new Battlestar Galatica, it would have faired much better. At least we got a kickass movie out of it.

The Critic
I think this show was maybe a little too obscure for a general audience. I imagine many of the jokes and references went over people's heads but I always found it hilarious. Probably the greatest thing John Lovitz has done. Wait, not probably. Definitely.

Strangers With Candy
We got three great seasons but I would have enjoyed a couple more. Such a fantastically talented cast headlined by Amy Sedaris, Paul Dinello, and Stephen Colbert when he was still humble (though no less hilarious.)

Newsradio
Probably one of the greatest ensemble casts ever for a sitcom. It's such a shame that the show wasn't able to rebound after Phil Hartman's death. Those were shoes that were simply impossible to fill. And poor Dave Foley has been in a downward spiral ever since.

How did Firefly NOT make this list?

I can attest that I love the following -- and they were all snuffed out too quick:

Freaks and Geeks
Angel
Veronica Mars
Wonderfalls
My So-Called Life
Arrested Development
Kitchen Confidential
Sports Night

and I agree whole heartedly with Torrey's add-ons. I would also add Undeclared on there -- though its not as smart as its first inspiration - Freaks and Geeks. Which I think most of the true Apatow genius lies.

Almost all of the ones I listed are ones I go to over and over to watch again.

I'm surprised that Jack & Bobby made the list. Not because it shouldn't be there, but because I didn't realize anyone else knew it existed. I could have definitely used more than one season.

Buffy is not on that or your list. Both are invalid!

Well Buffy was actually able to conclude, and went a season too long in my opinion. These are shows that ended before their time.
