That Takes Me Back

For anyone looking to kill some time at work, MTV just started "the Hulu for music videos" at MTVmusic.com.

There are so many reasons why this video is perfect.

1. It does what music videos should do - be all about the song while doing some story telling or setting a scene.
2. The action is totally dependent upon the song. Granted it might still be interesting watched on mute... but it would lose something.
3. It could be viewed as a strong piece of short film.
4. An actor that we usually think of in a certain way doing something unexpected -- which is something I like all around, not just in videos.

I just wish more videos were used as an opportunity to showcase the song with vision and talent... not someone's ego.
